Newport News, Va. – (February 1, 2022) – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly swimming & diving awards on Tuesday with Fordham's Alex Wilhelm (Charlotte, N.C.) being named the conference's Men's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week
 
Wilhelm, who is in his first year competing in the Atlantic 10 as a sophomore academically, piled up three event wins in the Rams' win over Iona last Wednesday.  He took first in the 100 (51.41) and 200 (1:54.74) backstroke events, and then grabbed the top spot in the 200 individual medley (1:54.89).
 
Wilhelm and the rest of the Rams are back in the pool on Wednesday, February 2^nd, as Fordham hosts St. Francis Brooklyn and Wagner.
