Full Bucknell Invitational Results
Lewisburg, Pa. – (November 20, 2022) – The Fordham swimming & diving team wrapped up its three-day stay at the Bucknell Invitational on Sunday with another excellent day.
The Fordham women ended the Invitational in second place out of eight teams with 1,151.5 points, trailing only Bucknell at 1,312 points, while the men were fourth out of eight teams with 726 points.
The last day of finals began with the 1650 freestyle, where six women and two men scored for the Rams.
Clare Culver was the top performer for the women in fourth place at 17:02.39, followed by
Emilie Krog in fifth (17:04.72) and
Luisa Rosa in ninth (17:18.24).
Ellen Brooks scored 12
th at 17:28.38 with
Ellie Graves in 17
th (17:37.64) and
Alana Brown in 20
th (18:02.15). For the men,
Ethan Newberry placed 14
th overall in 16:22.38, while
Brian Pawlowski took 21
st in 16:52.77.
Next was the 200 backstroke, where a pair of Rams scored on both sides.
Leire Martin placed fourth in a time of 2:00.47, followed by
Alison Lin in 11
th (2:03.25) on the women's side, while
Christian Taylor grabbed 12
th on the men's side in 1:51.03 with
Brian Desmond in 24
th (1:58.19).
In the 100 freestyle event, four women and six men found the scoring column for Fordham.
Zoei Howard posted a tenth-place finish in 51.60 seconds, followed by
Megan Morris in 13
th (51.83),
Audrey Tirrell in 23
rd (52.77), and
Therese Enriquez in 24
th (52.80). Then on the men's side, Tara Zherebetskyy was the top performer in the 100 free, taking seventh in 45.18 seconds, while
Taz Kanjanakaset won the "B" final for ninth overall in 45.53 seconds.
Alex Wilhelm was 11
th overall in 45.70 seconds, followed by
Alexander Shah in 16
th (46.62),
Nicholas Chao in 17
th (46.03), and
Vitalis Onu in 23
rd (46.96).
Fordham then earned its lone event win on Sunday in the women's 200 breaststroke, as
Ainhoa Martin took first place in a time of 2:13.49.
Emma Shaughnessy then scored 11
th in the event (2:20.43) with
Miranda Bonitatebus in 23
rd (2:25.19) and
Hope Nolan in 24
th (2:26.50). On the men's side,
Noah Althoff won the "B" final for ninth overall in 2:05.13, followed by
Daniel Langlois in 10
th (2:05.68) and Daniel Cote in 16
th (2:10.52).
Next was the 200 butterfly event, where
Jessica Zebrowski took second overall in the women's event in 2:03.78 with Rosa in 11
th (2:08.65), Brooks in 12
th (2:08.73),
Jaehee Park in 17
th (2:09.37), and
Madeline Wambach in 20
th (2:12.02). On the men's side,
Paris Raptis was third in the event in 1:48.02 with
Daniel Badawy in 14
th (1:54.07) and
Ryan Davidoff in 24
th (1:58.73).
The final individual event was the women's three-meter dive that saw
Millie Haffety score fourth with 250.80 points, while
Lilia de Oliveira Pelaez was eighth with a score of 231.90.
Mya Bokerman finished tenth (229.90) with
Mya Sharkey in 15
th (210.45),
Cai Flowers in 19
th (200.60), and
Molly Farrell in 21
st (197.75).
The last event of the Invitational was the 400 freestyle relay, where the women's team of Howard, Zebrowski, Lin, and A. Martin placed fifth in 3:26.77. The Fordham men were unfortunately disqualified for an early take-off and did not score.
Fordham is now off until Saturday, January 21
st when the Rams host La Salle and Richmond for a 1:00 PM meet.
