Mallory Lipski was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week and freshman outside hitter
Zoe Talabong earned Co-Rookie of the Week honors.

Lipski, who broke the program three-set digs record with 25 last weekend, averaged a mammoth 6.69 digs per frame over a 2-1 week for the Rams. The Louisville native was everywhere, regularly extending points, and posted back-to-back 30-dig efforts in a pair of five-set thrillers with VCU in the Bronx. First, she racked up 19 digs in a sweep at Rhode Island then matched her career-high of 35 in a victory over the visiting Rams on Friday night. She added 33 more on Saturday. Lipski is currently third in the A-10 with 4.72 digs per set and will see her national rank move up on Tuesday; she entered the weekend 78
th in the country with 4.37 digs per frame. It's her second career A-10 award.

Talabong joins classmate
Audrey Brown with her first career weekly accolade, the fourth time in program history two freshmen have earned Rookie of the Week awards in the same season. The Orlando native posted her second and third double-doubles in the two matches with VCU. Prior to that Talabong had eight kills, hitting .261, with 12 digs and two blocks at Rhode Island in midweek. On Friday, she nothed 10 kills to go with 15 digs and then set a new career-high with 15 kills on Saturday, adding 12 more digs. For the week, she averaged 2.54 kills and 3.0 digs per set.

Fordham now heads to the road for three consecutive weekends, first at George Washington this Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.
