Jersey City, N.J. – (May 15, 2021) – Select member of the Fordham track & field team were in action on Saturday at the Trials of Miles Meet, held at Lincoln Park in Jersey City, New Jersy, as they prepare for the final day of the ECAC/IC4A Championship on Sunday.
Three Rams ended up posting the team's top time of the season on Saturday, starting with
Taylor Mascetta in heat B of the women's 800-meter run. She won the heat in a season-best time of 2:17.24, finishing ahead of teammates
Helen Connolly (2:17.96),
Mary Kathryn Underwood (2:19.32), and
Jilli Jones (2:22.01), who were second, third, and fourth in the heat, respectively.

Then in heat B of the women's 1,500 meters,
Nicoleta Papavasilakis took ninth in a season-best time of 4:49.83, while
Bridget White was 12
th in the heat in 5:04.82.
Over on the men's side,
Jeremiah LaDuca kicked things off by winning heat B of the 800-meter run, clocking at 1:54.95.
Patrick Tuohy was second in the heat at 1:55.00, followed by
Thomas Lewis in fifth (1:58.23) and
Justin Lombardi in sixth (1:59.30). Then in heat A of the 800 meters,
Zalen Nelson grabbed sixth overall in 1:54.28.
Next was the heat A of the men's 5,000 meters, where
Brandon Hall posted Fordham's top time of the season at 14:31.87, which was 16
th in the race, while
Nicholas Raefski was 20
th in 14:55.18.
Fordham's last competitor of the evening was
Charlie Da Silva in heat A of the men's 1,500 meters, who was 12
th in 3:57.44.
The Rams will now take part in the final day of the ECAC/IC4A Championship, held at American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts.
