Box Score Newark, N.J. – It came down to the final singles match which was won by the home team as NJIT edged Fordham, 4-3, in women's tennis action on Friday at the Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreation Facility.
The Rams took the doubles point but then dropped three of the first five singles matches. So it all came down to sixth singles where NJIT's Advaita Saravanan took the first set from
Nicole Li, 6-4, before Li came back to win 7-6 in the second to force a third. Unfortunately for the Rams, Saravanan took the third set, 6-4, to clinch the win for NJIT.
