New York, N.Y. – (February 7, 2020) – As the Rams get in their final tune-ups for the 2020 Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Championship, a select number of swimmers traveled over to the NYU Winter Invitational, hosted at NYU's Palladium Athletic Facility.
 
A total of ten Ram swimmers competed on day one with three taking event final wins. 

 

Doug Grisbaum placed first in the 500 freestyle event in 4:47.77, while A.J. Frakes grabbed the top spot in the 100 freestyle in 47.13 seconds.  The Rams also took a pair of second place finishes with Evan Fenska in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.38) and Wade Meaders in the 200 backstroke (1:58.63).  Dillane Wehbe also compete in the preliminaries of the 100 freestyle, clocking in at 49.49 seconds.
 
Elizabeth Long was the other event winner for Fordham, taking first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.08.  She also logged preliminary times of 5:14.21 in the 500 freestyle and 1:02.06 in the 100 freestyle.
 
In addition to Long, Courtney Cail was second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.53 with Eva Kaplan in third at 1:08.78.
 
Bridget Bowen and Amanda Pyle also swam on Friday.  Bowen clocked preliminary times of 57.96 in the 100 freestyle and 2:10.92 in the 200 backstroke with Pyle posting a time of 5:44.33 in the 500 freestyle.
