Women’s Swimming & Diving Moves to Sixth at #A10SD Championship

Hampton, Virginia – (February 20, 2026) – The Fordham women's swimming & diving team moved to sixth place after day three of the 2026 Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Championship, which is being held at the Hampton Aquaplex in Virginia.
 
FORDHAM – DAY 3 WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• Six women's events were held on Friday with the 100 butterfly, 400 IM, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, and the 400 medley relay.
• The opening final of the night was the 100 butterfly, where Ella Montgomery scored tenth as a part of the "B" final in a season-best time of 54.70 seconds.
• In the 400 individual medley, Karina Kanary earned the silver medal and Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honors by finishing second in a season-best time of 4:16.66.Miranda Bonitatebus (4:31.05) and Sara Macri (4:32.88) also scored 15^th and 16^th as part of the "B" final.
• Hayley Clark then won the "B" final for ninth place in the 200 freestyle in a season-best time of 1:49.17.
• Two Rams made the finals of the 100 breaststroke event, as Magdalena Wlodrakiewicz scored 15^th as a part of the "B" final in 1:03.55, while Lexi Lundell was seventh in the championship final (1:02.78).
• Fordham's final scoring tandem came in the "B" final of the 100 backstroke, as Saskia Aikman (55.44) and Montgomery (55.50) scored 11^th and 12^th, respectively.

 
WHAT'S NEXT

• The final day of the Championship is set for Saturday, February 21^st with the 1650 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, the women's one-meter dive, and the 400 freestyle relay.Preliminary races start at 10:00 AM with the finals at 6:00 PM.
