Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham University junior
Arina Taluyenko was named Atlantic 10 Women's Player of the Week for the week ending February 3 it was announced by the league office today. It is the first weekly award of the year for Taluyenko and the second of her career.
In the lone match of the week, Taluyenko defeated Quinnipiac's
Kamilla Nella in straight sets at first singles (6-2, 6-3) and teamed with
Weronika Pociej to upend
Jordan Bradley and Andie Williams at second doubles, 6-2.
The Rams return to action on Friday, February 7, as they travel to West Point, N.Y., to face Stony Brook University at 5:30 p.m.
