CSCAA Release
Colorado Springs, CO – (January 29, 2020) - The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the Scholar All-America Teams for the 2019 Fall Semester. Once again, the CSCAA honored both the Fordham men's and women's swimming & diving teams, receiving Scholar All-American Team status. This is the 17th consecutive year that both squads have been on the Scholar All-American team.
Instituted during the 2003-04 academic year, the Scholar All-American Team award is presented to a team competing at the NCAA, NAIA, or junior college levels, and maintains a GPA of a 3.0 or better. The GPA includes all athletes who competed in any competition during the course of the season. In total, the CSCAA honored 762 teams from 480 institutions across all divisions. This year's total marked the fourth consecutive year that more than 700 teams received CSCAA Scholar All-America recognition.
The Fordham men's team had a GPA of 3.35, the second-best Atlantic 10 school, while the Fordham women's team posted a 3.41 team GPA.
Fordham joined Davidson, George Washington, La Salle, Massachusetts, and Saint Louis as Atlantic 10 schools to have both their men's and women's teams honored. The women's teams from Duquesne, Rhode Island, and Richmond were the other Atlantic 10 teams listed.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America is the oldest professional organization of college coaches in America. The CSCAA is dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
