Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University men's and women's cross country squads raced in their second meet of the 2019 season today at the Fordham Fiasco/
Ed Joyce Memorial held in Van Cortlandt Park where both teams took fifth in the team competition.

The men's race was won by Rutgers with 59 points, followed closely by Princeton (65). Penn was third followed by NJIT, Fordham (116), Harvard (117), St. Thomas Aquinas (182), Molloy (223), NYIT (229), Manhattanville (259), FDU (321), and Staten Island (333).

The women's race was won by Harvard, who had the top five finishers, with 22 points, followed by Princeton (35), Manhattan (105), Penn (105), and Fordham (162). NJIT (186) was sixth followed by St. Thomas Aquinas (200), FDU (234), Molloy (262), NYIT (265), and Staten Island (327).

Princeton's Jacob Kintzele won the men's 8LK race in 26:17.87. The top Fordham finisher was Patrick Donahue, who was 14th in a time of 27:27.49, followed by Ryan Fahey, who placed 16th in 27:40.44. Dylan Serino was the third Rams to cross the line, clocking in at 27:49.36, while Patrick Noraka was 36th in 28:03.38, and Patrick Touhy was the final Fordham scorer, finishing 46th in 28:22.85.

On the women's side, Harvard's Anna Juul won the 5K race in a time of 18:14.36.
Bridget Alex was the first of the Rams to finish, placing 31st in 20:23.42, with
Dana Beggins right behind her, placing 34th in 20:39.33.
Bridget White was 38th overall in 20:51.16, while
Maeve O'Connor (46th – 21:11.19) and
Julia Herms (52nd – 21:35.07) also scored for Fordham.

The Fordham men's and women's cross country squads return to action next Saturday, September 14, as the NYIT Invitational on Old Westbury, N.Y.
