Cross Country Competes at Paul Short Run

Bethlehem, Pa. – (October 3, 2025) – The Fordham cross country team was back on the run on Friday morning at the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University.  The Rams had competitors in the men's open 8K race, men's gold 8K race, and women's gold 6K race.
 
MEN'S OPEN 8K RACE

• A total of 575 runners took part in the men's open 8K race.No team results were kept.
• Tadael Mihret was Fordham's top finisher in 126^th overall at 25:41.0.
• Daniel DiTunno (25:53.7), John Corrigan (25:58.8), Matthew McCabe (26:02.6), and Anan Bauman (26:17.0) finished 163^rd, 173^rd, 182^nd, and 218^th respectively.
• Eric Schleif(26:38.8 – 263^rd) and Matthew McDevitt (26:48.6 – 284^th) were the remaining runners for the Rams.

 
MEN'S GOLD 8K RACE

• Fordham placed 33^rd out of 40 teams in the men's gold 8K race with 922 points.
• A total of 334 runners were in the gold race with Bradford Duchesne as the top Fordham runner in 136^th place with a personal-best time of 24:46.3 over the 8K course.
• James Stappenbeck was the next Ram across the line in 192^nd at 25:09.6, followed by Jack Boerger in 207^th (25:15.2), Jimmy Hernandez in 219^th (25:22.4), and Nicolas Grabarz in 268^th (25:45.9).
• Other runners for the Rams included Darren Croke (25:48.5 – 272^nd), Matthew Febles (26:11.9 – 302^nd), and Sean Reidy (26:19.4 – 309^th).

 
WOMEN'S GOLD 6K RACE

• Fordham ended up 38^th out of 40 teams in the women's gold 6K race with 1,037 points.
• There were 336 runners in the race with Meredith Gotzman being the first Ram across the finish line in 130^th place in a personal-best time of 21:29.8over the 6K course.
• Jodie Pierce followed Gotzman in 153^rd place in 21:35.0, while Sophia Oliva was 284^th in 22:56.1.
• The remaining Fordham runners included Alexis Smith (23:35.2 – 315^th), Quincy Biddle (23:41.0 – 316^th), and Lauren Raimy (24:02.1 – 327^th).

• The Rams are next in action on Saturday, October 11^th, at the Metropolitan Championship, which will take place at Branch Brook Park in Newark, N.J.
