Tara Brunner took on one more challenge in her final campaign at Rose Hill, as she competed at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship in Cleveland, Ohio.
Brunner competed in four events, scoring 48 points at the Invitational, which put Fordham 31
st in the team standings out of 48 teams that scored.
She started the invitational by placing 28
th in the 50-yard butterfly in 25.17 seconds.
Brunner then made the finals in the remaining three events, starting with the 50 freestyle. She tied for seventh in preliminaries in 23.19 seconds, qualifying for the "A" final. She then clocked in sixth in the "A" final in 23.04 seconds.
The next final Brunner qualified for was the "B" final of the 100 yard butterfly in 54.74 seconds. She then won the "B" final with a personal-best time of 53.70 seconds.
Brunner saved her best performance for last in the 100 freestyle, qualifying for the "A" final in the 100 yard freestyle event in 49.94 seconds. She then earned a bronze medal in the event, placing third in 50.09 seconds.
