Geneva, Ohio – (February 21, 2019) – Day two of the 2019 Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Championship is in the books at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio, and the Fordham men's swimming & diving team sits in eighth place out of eight teams with 84 points.
Fordham scored in all four events on day two, beginning in the 500 freestyle event.
Christopher Sleutjes and
Danny McGowan qualified for the "B" final, as Sleutjes took 13
th overall in a season-best time of 4:33.18, while McGowan was 16
th in 4:35.18.
Next up was the 200 individual medley event, as
Greg Lombana made the "B" final. Just like yesterday on the women's side, Lombana erased the oldest swimming record on the books, as he broke the school record in the 200 IM in 1:51.13, finishing 15
th overall. The previous record was held by Akira Kosugi at 1:51.21, set in 1996.

The final individual event was the 50 freestyle, where
Travis Monahan made the "B" final, where he finished 13
th overall in 20.97 seconds.
The last event of the day was the 200 freestyle relay, where Fordham's team of
Joseph Vizza, Monahan,
Auston Ramsay, and
Bryce Bollesen placed eighth in a season-best time of 1:23.00.
Day three of the championship begins at 10:00 AM on Friday with the preliminaries for the 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, and three-meter dive events.
