Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham sophomore Arina Taluyenko was named Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week it was announced by the league office on Tuesday. She shares the award with Paola Diaz-Delgao from VCU.
 
In Fordham's lone match of the week, a 5-2 win over Seton Hall, Taluyenko won at both first singles and first doubles. Taluyenko defeated Anicka Fajnorova at first singles with two of the sets going to a tiebreaker. Taluyenko took the first set, 7-6 (6) before falling in the second, 6-2. She then came back to win the third set, 7-6, taking the tiebreaker 7-1.
 
In doubles action, Taluyenko teamed with Tatiana Grigoryan to clinch the doubles point for the Rams with a 6-4 win over Fajnorova and Regina Pitts at first doubles.
 
The Rams return to action on Saturday, February 23, as they travel to West Point to face the Army West Point Cadets at 4:00 p.m.
