Newport News, Va. – (December 10, 2019) – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly swimming & diving awards on Tuesday with Fordham senior
Amelia Bullock (Westport, Conn.) earning the Atlantic 10 Women's Performer of the Week award. It is her first of the season, and third of her career.
Bullock had an outstanding run at the Bucknell Invitational this past weekend, helping Fordham to a second place team finish.
She started Saturday action by posting two NCAA "B" qualifying times and winning an event. She took first place in the 100 butterfly in an NCAA "B qualifying mark of 53.64 seconds, while taking second in the 100 breaststroke in an NCAA "B" qualifying time of 1:01.95. Then, Bullock was a part of the 200 medley relay that placed second in 1:41.77.
On Sunday, she had two third place finishes, one school record, and one NCAA "B" qualifying time. She finished third in the 200 breaststroke in a school record and NCAA "B" qualifying time of 2:15.50, breaking the previous mark of 2:18.08 by
Nele Albers in 2017, and then took third in the 200 butterfly event in 2:01.75.
Bullock and the rest of the Rams are now off for Christmas Break until Friday, January 17
th, when the Rams host Boston College at 4:00 PM.
