Bronx, N.Y. – (November 23, 2019) – As his teammates were running at Van Cortlandt Park, Fordham senior
Ryan Kutch was running at the 2019 NCAA Cross Country Championship, hosted by Indiana State in Terra Haute, Indiana.
Kutch, who qualified for the championship by finishing fourth at the Northeast Regional, became the first Fordham runner at the Cross Country Championship since the 1970's.
Conditions were not exactly ideal, as the LaVern Gibson Championship Course was hit with heavy rains and 35 degree temperatures on Saturday. Kutch would push through those conditions to finish with a time of 34:48.2, which was 241
st overall.
Kutch would finish ahead of runners from N.C. State, Alabama, Boise, State, Middle Tennessee State, and Arkansas.
