Kutch will be the first Fordham male to appear at the NCAA National Cross Country Championship since the 1977 Rams placed 26th at the championship. The 2019 NCAA Cross Country Championship will be held on November 23 in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Over 11 inches of snowfall hit western New York state on Monday and Tuesday, with the nearly nine inches of snow on Monday alone breaking a 77-year-old record for accumulation on Nov. 11. Because of the storm, the NCAA moved the cross country races away from Audubon Golf Course and onto a road course.
Â
The change of venue didn't slow down Kutch, who covered the 10K course in 28:52.5, just over ten seconds behind the winner, Alex Masai of Hofstra.
Â
Kutch's fourth-place showing helped the Rams finish 14th as a team with 428 points. Harvard won the team title with 59 points followed by Syracuse (86), Iona (96), UMass Lowell (157), and Stony Brook (176).
Â
Also scoring for the Rams were
Nicholas Raefski, who placed 80th in 30:22.6;
Brandon Hall, who was 87th in 30:30.6;
John McGovern, who took 93rd in 30:32.9; and
Colin Flood, who was 164th in 31:50.3.
Â
Also competing for Fordham were
Jack Craven (198 – 31:00.4) and
Sean Sullivan (208 – 32:57.4).
Â
The rest of the Rams will compete in the ECAC/IC4A Championships on November 23 at Van Cortlandt Park.
