Newport News, Va.  – (October 22, 2019) – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly swimming & diving awards on Tuesday with Fordham freshman Ethan Murray (Ridgefield, Conn. / Ridgefield) earning Men's Rookie of the Week honors.  It is the first weekly honor of Murray's career.
 
Murray had a successful debut in Fordham's season-opening meet against Manhattan on Friday night.  He won the 500 freestyle event in a time of 4:48.69, while grabbing second in the 200 freestyle in 1:46.16.  Murray then anchored the winning 400 freestyle relay team in a time of 3:16.80.
 
Murray and the rest of the Rams are in action twice this week, traveling to Marist on Thursday, October 24^th for a 6:00 PM meet, and then to Boston University on Saturday, October 26^th for a 1:00 PM meet.
