Hayley Masi Named Assistant Coach for Swimming & Diving Program

Former Maine Maritime Head Coach Joins Fordham Staff

Bronx, N.Y. – (October 2, 2019) – Fordham head coach Steve Potsklan announced the hiring of Hayley Masi to the swimming & diving coaching staff on Wednesday as an assistant coach.
 
Masi joins the Rams after serving as head coach and aquatics director at Maine Maritime Academy.  She helped guide the Mariners in their inaugural NCAA season in 2018-19 and coached five swimmers into an appearance at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association Championship (NEISDA).  The team was also awarded the CSCAA Scholar All-American Team Award for academic prowess.
 
Prior to Maine Maritime, Masi was a four-year member of the swimming team at the University of Massachuetts, competing at the Atlantic 10 Championship all four years.  She served as a team captain her senior season and competed in the sprint freestyle and relay events.
 
A 2018 graduate from Massachusetts, Masi holds a degree in Public Health, and is currently working on her Master's degree in Sports Coaching & Leadership.
