Atlantic 10 Release

Bronx, N.Y. - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly swimming award on Tuesday with Fordham senior Tara Brunner (New Canaan, Conn. / Academy of Our Lady of Mercy) being named the Women's Co-Performer of the Week for the first time this season. She shares the award with Duquesne senior Abigail Stauffer.
 
At the Bucknell Invitational last weekend, Brunner was a multiple-event winner for the Rams, leading the squad to its best-ever finish at the meet with a second place showing. She won the 100-yard freestyle event in a season-best time of 50.54, while taking second in the 50-yard freestyle (23.22), both top A-10 times for the season. Brunner also finished third in the 100-yard butterfly (55.15).
 
Brunner was also a member of three winning relays, the 200 freestyle, 400 freestyle, and the 800 freestyle relays.
 
The Rams return to action on Wednesday, December 5, as they host the Manhattan College Jaspers in the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center at 5:00 p.m.
