Cross Country Closes Season at ECAC/IC4A Championship

Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham men's and women's cross country squads closed out the 2018 season by competing at the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Saturday at Van Cortlandt Park where the women placed sixth and the men finished 13th.

The sixth place showing was the best finish for the Ram women since 1992.

Temple won the women's ECAC Championship university race with a total score of 23 points and Stony Brook took first in the IC4A Championship with 11 points.

Abigail Taylor led the way for the Fordham women, finishing 14th in a time of 17:28. Crossing the finish line next for the Rams was Angelina Grebe who finished 26th in 17:41, followed by Laurel Fisher (41st – 18:01), Sydney Snow (43rd – 18:02), Kate McCormack (55th – 18:15), Sarah Daniels (57th – 18:18), Blake Elwood (67th – 18:31), Germaine Harbaugh (85th – 18:44), Katarzyna Krzyzanowski (93rd – 18:50), Bridget Alex (94th – 18:53).

On the men's side, Brandon Hall paced the Rams finishing 59th in 24:17. Also competing for Fordham were Sean Sullivan (66th – 24:22), Ryan Kutch (93rd – 24:59), Brian Cook (94th – 24:59), Will Whelan (107th – 25:16), Matthew Roma (108th – 25:19) and Patrick Donahue (137th – 26:03).

In the women's coaches race, Maeve O'Connor crossed the finish line first for the Rams, finishing eighth in a time of 18:59. Following O'Connor were Kelsey Coppinger (9th – 19:00), Bridget White (19:32), Kieran Hanrahan (48th – 20:29), Julia Herms (58th – 20:44), Jessica Walker-Corbett (63rd – 20:54) and Elizabeth Morisseau (76th – 21:35).

In the men's coaches race Jack O'Connell led the pack for the Rams, placing 28th in 25:38. Also running for Fordham were Patrick Norako (35th – 25:56), Alberto Mena (45th – 26:16), Thomas FItzPatrick (57th – 27:01), Marc Guberti (61st – 27:12) and Kieran Press-Reynolds (66th – 27:53).
