Kings Park, N.Y. - Members of the Fordham cross country teams competed at the SJC Long Island Invitational, held at Sunken Meadow State Park on Saturday, where the men and women both placed first in the team competition.
Senior
Aidan Moroz led the way for the Ram women, finishing fourth in the 5K in a time of 20:12.2. Crossing the line next for Fordham was
Dana Beggins who placed tenth in 20:49.1, followed by
Angelica Piccini (15
th – 21:09.1),
Julia Wiseman (16
th – 21:14.0),
Kieran Hanrahan (17
th - 21:15.9),
Bridget White (18
th – 21:17.5),
Julia Herms (28
th – 21:41.5),
Elizabeth Morisseau (36
th - 22:00.4) and
Jessica Walker-Corbett (41
st – 22:11.3).
Fordham won the women's race with a total score of 58, followed by USMMA (60), St. Joseph's (L.I.), Felician (166) and Suffolk CC rounded out the top five with a score of 198.
On the men's side Fordham was led by
Patrick Norako who finished fifth in the 8K in a time of 28:19.2. Right behind Norako was
Kieran Press-Reynolds who finished sixth in 28:28.4, followed by
Jack O'Connell (7
th – 28:29.1), Alberto Mena (12
th – 28:41.1),
Thomas FitzPatrick (15
th – 28:51.9), Patrick Tuohy (21
st – 29:04.7),
Erik Larkin (31
st – 29:19.0) and
Marc Guberti (36
th – 29:30.4).
The Rams also won the men's race with a total score of 45, followed by USMMA (70), Molloy (142), Suffolk CC (147) and Manhattanville rounded out the top five with a score of 155.
The Rams return to action on Saturday October 27 at the Atlantic 10 Championship, hosted by Richmond at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va.
