David Roach announced the promotion of five members of the department for their diligent work for the department. Those receiving promotions are
Tim Rehm,
Shane Fogarty,
Rob DiToma,
Katie Lane, and
Gavin Wyse.

"All athletic departments rely on having great people who work tirelessly for the student-athletes," Roach said. "All of these professionals have displayed that they will do whatever they can to help our student-athletes achieve their goals. I am happy to be able to promote these outstanding coaches and offer my congratulations to each."

Tim Rehm - Promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Performance
- Named assistant athletic director for athletic performance at Fordham University in April of 2015.
Spent previous six-plus years at Monmouth University, first as the assistant strength and conditioning coach and then, for three years, as the coordinator of strength & conditioning.Â
- Was responsible for the design and implementation for strength, speed, endurance, and flexibility programming for Monmouth's nineteen varsity programs, including several individuals who have continued athletics careers into the professional ranks of NFL, MLB, and MLS.Â
- A 2008 graduate of Springfield College with a degree in Applied Exercise Science and a minor in Athletic Coaching.
- Was a four-year letter winner as a sprinter on the Springfield Track & Field squad.

Shane Fogarty – Promoted to Assistant Head Football Coach
- Will also be responsible for the Rams' special teams and running backs in 2017.
- Fogarty tutored consensus All-American running back Chase Edmonds in 2016. The junior finished fourth in voting for the 2016 Walter Payton Award, presented to the NCAA FCS offensive player of the year.
- In 2015, helped Edmonds earn consensus All-America honors as the sophomore, who was also named the 2015 Patriot League and ECAC Offensive Player of the Year, rushed 251 times for 1,648 yards and 20 touchdowns while also catching 31 passes for 383 yards and five scores.
Spent 2014 season as the offensive coordinator at Colby College.
- Also served as an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut in 2013, working with the safeties and assisting with the special teams.
In 2012 with the Rams, Fogarty coached tight end Dan Light at Fordham, who was named First Team All-Patriot League.
- A 2006 graduate of UConn with a degree in history.
- Was a member of the Husky football program from 2002-05, earning a letter in his senior season.

Rob DiToma – Promoted to Associate Head Baseball Coach
- Heading into his fifth season with the Fordham baseball coaching staff.
- Added the title of recruiting coordinator in 2016.
- The Rams had a player earn Freshman All-American status as pitcher (Kyle Martin by Baseball America and Alvin Melendez by the NCBWA) for the first time since 2011.
- Was part of the Rams' staff in 2016 that helped guide the team to 29 wins, the most for the program since 2011, and 14 conference wins, which was good for fifth place in the conference standings and a third straight trip to the Atlantic 10 Championship.
- Prior to Fordham, DiToma had a four-year stint at Iona College, serving as the team's hitting instructor and recruiting coordinator.
- A 2005 graduate of Mercy College who earned his master's degree in physical education from Manhattanville College in 2007.
- Played four years as the starting second baseman at Mercy as an undergraduate, serving as team captain as a senior.

Katie Lane – Promoted to Associate Head Women's Rowing Coach
- Begins her fourth season with the Fordham rowing staff where she also serves as the Recruiting Coordinator.
- Guided the Rams to numerous regatta wins over the past four years, including the junior varsity 8 winning gold at the 2017 Kerr Cup and the varsity 8 taking gold at the 34th Memorial Murphy Cup Regatta and winning the petite final at the prestigious San Diego Crew Classic in 2016.
- The Rams placed third at the 2016 Atlantic 10 Championships, matching the best ever finish for the Rams at the championship.
- Served as the head coach of men's rowing at Wentworth Institute of Technology from 2011-2014, prior to arriving at Fordham.
- Helped Wentworth win the program's first medals at the Head of the Charles in 2012, the Dad Vail Regatta in 2012 and the New England Rowing Championships in 2012 and 2013.
- Also coached under the leadership of renowned junior coach Ethan Curren at Community Rowing Inc. from 2011 to 2013 producing medal-winning shells at the USRowing Youth National Championships and more than a dozen medals at the USRowing Club National Championships.
A 2011 University of Vermont graduate.
- Accepted a place in the inaugural class of the Institute for Rowing Leadership following graduation.  Â
Has been a masters men's competitive coxswain since 2009 with Riverfront Recapture in Hartford, Conn., and Community Rowing Inc. in Brighton, Mass.

Ted Bonanno on Lane: "Katie has done outstanding work with our student-athletes and has brought our recruiting program to its most competitive level in our program's history. She has had an extremely positive impact on our program and has helped lead us to our best team performance at both the Atlantic 10 Championships and Dad Vail. Her new role as Associate Head Coach will further expand her responsibilities and will help us to continue to build Fordham Rowing into a premiere Division I program."

Gavin Wyse – Promoted to Associate Head Men's Soccer Coach
- Enters his eighth season on the Fordham men's soccer coaching staff, and has been associated with the program since 2008 at the Fordham Soccer Summer Camp.
- Has helped coach the Rams to two Atlantic 10 Championships in the past three seasons, winning the 2014 and 2016 league titles and receiving bids to the NCAA Championship in each of those seasons.
- The 2016 Atlantic 10 Championship capped an outstanding season for Fordham soccer, which saw six Rams receive Atlantic 10 awards, three receive NSCAA All-Region accolades, and five were selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Championship team.
- Has a very good track record on the recruiting trail, bringing in foreign born talent to Rose Hill. Over the last four years, five international Rams, Andrew Hickey (2013), Jannik Loebe (2014), Rashid Nuhu (2015), Janos Loebe (2015), and Joergen Oland (2016) have earned Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team honors, with Janos Loebe being named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year.
- Holds professional licenses, including a National B License (2010), the NCAA Advanced National Course (2009) and the NCAA National Course (2007).
- Was a two-year letter winner at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, graduating with a Bachelor's of Science degree in 2002.

Jim McElderry on Wyse: "Gavin has been vital to our success both on and off the field at Fordham. He started off as a volunteer coach and has now worked his way to being the Associate Head Coach. He has earned this promotion with his knowledge of the game, organizational skills, communication skills, recruiting and simply being a priceless part of my staff. I could not be happier for Gavin to be recognized with this new title as we look to defend our 2016 Atlantic 10 Championship and earn our third trip to the NCAA Tournament in four years."
