Fordham Student-Athletes Enjoy Successful Fall Semester in the Classroom

Ram student-athletes post a 3.517 GPA

Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham student-athletes experienced unprecedented success in the classroom in the 2025 Fall semester with an overall average GPA of 3.517.

"This has been another spectacular performance in the classroom by our student-athletes," said Fordham University Director of Athletics and Recreation Charles Guthrie. "Student-athlete academic success is one of the pillars of our program, and what they have accomplished in their studies is remarkable. I'd also like to acknowledge our amazing Academic Team and coaches who continue to reinforce our values and expectations."

Among the highlights are:
  • 3.517 semester GPA for athletics, all-time high and first time over 3.50.
  • Seven teams with all-time high GPA marks -- Baseball, Men's Basketball, Rowing, Squash, Men's Track & Field, Women's Track & Field, and Water Polo.
  • 87% with above a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • 53% with above a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
  • 75 students with a 4.0 semester GPA.

These numbers add to the recent success of Fordham student-athletes as last December ten Fordham University athletic programs recorded a perfect 100 percent Graduation Success Rate (GSR). Overall, Fordham student-athletes graduated at a 97 percent clip, an increase from last year as the Rams tied for fourth among all Atlantic 10 schools.

The Rams routinely rank among the top three school in the number of student-athletes named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and the Patriot League Football Academic Honor Roll.
