Newport News, Va. - Just a few days after his record-setting performance, Fordham senior Thomas Slattery received another honor as he was named Atlantic 10 Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week on Tuesday.

It's the first weekly award for Slattery and the Rams this season.

Slattery led the Rams at the 44th Annual Paul Short Run on Friday, setting the school-record in the 8K in a career-best time of 24:08, good for a 27^th place finish overall.

Slattery and the Rams return to action Friday, October 13, at the Metropolitan Championships, held at Van Cortlandt Park.
