SERIES HISTORY: The Rams and Tigers have met twice before with Princeton winning both match-ups. The Tigers earned a 3-1 victory in 2013 and a 2-1 decision last season at Jack Coffey Field. In last year's match-up, Princeton took a 1-0 lead in the second half on a goal by Stephanie Paloscio before Fordham knotted the game at one on a goal from
Ivana Lahcanski in the 59
th minute. The Tigers though would pull out the 2-1 win on a 77
th minute goal from Emily Sura.
SCOUTING CORNER: Princeton returns most of its players from a squad that won the Ivy League and an NCAA tournament game for the second time in four years. This year, the Ivy League has no official preseason poll, but the Tigers are picked as a near-top 25 team, receiving a vote in the NSCAA preseason top 25 and ranking third in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Rankings.

LAST TIME OUT: Fordham's
Brooke Salmon scored in the 19
th minute, while
Adaeze Obinelo recorded two saves, as the women's soccer team shut out the Loyola Ramblers, 1-0, at Loyola Soccer Park in Chicago, Illinois.
For the second straight game, Fordham found the back of the net first in the 19
th minute.
Brooke Salmon picked up a loose ball at the top of the arc, and blasted a shot inside the near post past a diving Maddie Ford for her first goal of the season, and the second of her career.
The Rams kept the pressure on throughout the opening stanza, outshooting Loyola, 8-4, but remained ahead by the 1-0 margin at halftime.
Fordham almost made it 2-0 in the 76
th minute, as
Margaret Roughley put a shot toward net with Ford out of position, but a Loyola defender came across for the defender save.
Fordham's defense protected the 1-0 margin, allowing just two shots on goal in the second half that Fordham goalkeeper
Adaeze Obinelo handled, pitching her second career shutout.
The Rams ended the match with an 11-7 shot edge, and a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.
WHO'S NEXT: Following this weekend's action, Fordham finishes up a four-game road swing at Seton Hall on Thursday, September 1
