Bronx, N.Y. – (August 26, 2026) – The Fordham women's soccer team looks to build off their first win of the season on Thursday night, as the Rams make the short trip to Long Island to face the Hofstra Pride at Captains Field.
The Rams (1-2) won their first match of the season on Sunday, rallying from a 1-0 deficit to defeat Marist behind goals from
Liv Johnsen and
Ava Giudice. Hofstra enters Thursday at 0-1-1 thus far with a 3-1 loss to Saint Joseph's, while playing to a 1-1 draw with Columbia.

SERIES HISTORY
- Thursday is 20th all-time meeting between Fordham and Hofstra and the first since 2022.The Pride hold a 16-2-1 record, having won the last 10 meetings. Fordham's last win in the series came in 2004.
THE OPPONENT
- Hofstra was picked third in the CAA North Division in the preseason coaches' poll, while Sasha McTiffin was a preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention selection.
- The Pride are coming off a 1-1 draw with Columbia, where Alexia Bromfield netted the game-tying goal for her first career goal.
