Bronx, N.Y. – Due to inclement weather, the Fordham Quad Tournament was shortened to a one day event.
On Saturday, in doubles play,
Victor Li and
Fabian Mauritzson won both of their matches defeating Wagner's Hans Ohrner and Allen Wang 6-3 before beating their Ram teammates
Steven Duka and
Nick Borak 6-4. Duka and Borak won their opening match 6-2 over Saint Peter's Cuong Lam and Gabe Russotto.
Allen Thornes and
Jeremy Chung defeated Saint Peter's Zachery Chang and Ivan Knezevic 6-1 in the round of 16 before dropping their quarterfinal match to Wagner's Ilya Kneppelhout and Charlton Boyd 7-5.
After losing their opening match to Wagner's Ilya Kneppelhout and Charlton Boyd 6-3,
Cameron Posillico and
Harris Durkovic bounced back with a 6-4 win in the consolation bracket over Saint Peter's Zachery Chang and Ivan Knezevic.
In singles A play,
Fabian Mauritzson won his opening match over Ivan Knezevic 7-5, 6-2 and then advanced to the semifinals by default.
Victor Li won his only match of the day 6-4, 7-5 over Wagner's Eric Poland and
Jeremy Chung dropped lone match to Niko Vulinovic 6-0, 6-1.
In Singles B play,
Steven Duka won his match 6-1, 6-4 over Saint Peter's Gabe Russotto,
Gabriel Mashaal won his match 6-1, 6-3 over Saint Peter's Jon Parades and
Harris Durkovic fell to Wagner's Siddarth Anand 6-2, 6-0.
Fordham returns to action at Rider University on October 12. Play begins at 3pm.
