The Fordham women's soccer team gets its 2015 regular season underway this weekend, as the team travels to Maine for a pair of contests.
The Rams begin their stay with a late Friday afternoon match-up against the Wagner Seahawks, while taking on the Maine Black Bears on Sunday afternoon.

Live Video SERIES HISTORY: The Rams have gotten the better of both Wagner and Maine in the series history, combining for a 9-0-2 record against the Seahawks and Black Bears.
Nicol NataleFordham is 7-0-1 all-time versus the Seahawks, but the two squads have not played each other since the 2005 season.
Fordham is 2-0-1 against Maine, which included a 2-0 shutout of the Black Bears last season at Jack Coffey Field. In that game,
Nicol Natale had a goal and an assist to lead the offensive attack, while
Kate McDonnell also scored.
OPENING DAY: In season opening matches, Fordham has had a mixed bag of results, posting a 9-12-1 mark. The Rams have lost their last four season openers, dating back to 2010. In 2010, Fordham defeated Seton Hall, 1-0.

Kristina Maksuti were announced as the Fordham women's soccer team captains for the 2015 season.
"We are excited about our leadership group in general and having Katie, Tina and Jess back with us another year gives us the experience and maturity of playing at the next level," said head coach
Jessica Clinton. "Overall, the senior players are a mature group and are working hard each day to make us better."
Widmann and McDonnell were the team's top two scorers from a year ago. Widmann started all 18 games, and led the team goals (4), assists (4), and points (12). She was selected as the team's offensive MVP at year's end and was named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
McDonnell was the Rams' second leading scorer in 2014 with three goals and three assists for nine points, setting career-highs in each of those categories. She received Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors once last season and started all 17 games she appeared in.
Maksuti returns to the pitch after almost two years away, fighting injury. A former Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team selection, she was the Rams' leading scorer as both a freshman and a sophomore. In total, she has racked up 17 career goals and eight assists for 42 points at Fordham, ranking seventh all-time in career goals and tenth in career points.
WHO'S NEXT: Following the Rams' trip to Maine, Fordham returns to the Bronx next weekend for a pair of matches. The team will play at Manhattan on Friday, August 28
th at 7:00 PM, followed by the team's home opener on Sunday, August 30
th, against Princeton at 1:00 PM.
