While the team will resume their season in January, senior swimmer
Steve Sholdra was in action this past weekend at the 2015 AT&T Winter National Championships, held in Federal Way, Washington.
The Renton, Washington native took part in two events at the Championship, the 200-meter butterfly and the 1500-meter freestyle.
His best finish came in the 200-meter butterfly, as he took third in the "C" final, good for 19th overall, in a time of 2:02.31, which was just 0.32 seconds off of an Olympic Trial qualifying time. Sholdra went up against some stiff competition in the 200-meter butterfly, as Olympic champion and world record holder Michael Phelps won the event in a time of 1:56.11.
