Last Time OutThe Rams hosted four other programs over the weekend and competed in three matches across two days, sweeping the trio of matches against Salem International, Mercyhurst, and George Washington. Sophomore
Ethan Vandeventer led the way with eight goals (a career-best five coming against SIU) and three assists, junior
R.J. Simmons and freshman
Diego Delgado each had four goals and six assists (Delgado notched a career-high five points against Mercyhurst), and freshman
Magnus Sims added five goals and four assists, as well, over the three games. Vandeventer was also an asset on the defensive end with two three-steal games, seven total, and not one exclusion throughout. The Rams balanced scoring attack was made evident by having at least seven different scorers in every contest. Overall, Fordham outscored its three opponents 38-25.
St. Francis Brooklyn2015 Record: 9-8, 5-0 CWPA Northern Division
What You Need To Know: Bora Dimitrov's goal deep into the four period propelled the Terriers to a 10-9 victory over the Rams two weeks ago in Brooklyn. Now, St. Francis Brooklyn travels up to the Bronx after losing four of its last five, one against ranked Brown at home, two during the Santa Clara Tournament and one against California Davis. The Terriers entered the weekend ranked 17
th in the country but may have fallen out due to recent results – the new national poll won't be up until after tomorrow night's contest – although three of the four losses came against ranked teams (#11 Brown, #17 Santa Clara, and #11 UC-Davis). Senior Ilija Djuretic, who tallied half (five) of his team's goals against Fordham two weeks ago, leads the team in total goals scored this season with over 30.
Next UpThe Rams travel to the north east for their final four regular season contests, all Northern division match-ups, this weekend. First up is a 8 p.m. meeting at Connecticut College, then two contests in Cambridge, Mass. against MIT (1 p.m.) and Harvard (7 p.m.), before finishing out the season at Brown on Sunday at 2 p.m.
