Bridgeport, Pa. – (November 5, 2025) – The MAWPC released its weekly awards on Wednesday with Fordham sweeping all three accolades.
Andras Toth (Pecs, Hungary) was selected as the league's Player of the Week with
Luca Provenziani (Rome, Italy) receiving Defensive Player of the Week honors, while
Alessandro Salipante (Brindisi, Italy) earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
For this season, this is Toth's second weekly award, the third for Provenziani, and second for Salipante.
Toth continued his torrid goal scoring pace with 18 goals, seven assists, 10 steals, and three blocks in three wins for Fordham over the weekend He started with five goals, three assists, four steals, and two blocks in a win at #11/10 Princeton, and then tied a career-high with seven goals at Navy to go with three assists and three steals. Toth ended the weekend with six goals on six shots at George Washington to go with an assist and three steals.
Provenziani posted four steals and six field blocks on the defensive end this weekend to go with 10 goals and nine assists. He had a steal and a block to go with five goals and four assists in a win at #11/10 Princeton and followed with two blocks and three steals to go with four goals and two assists at Navy. Provenziani then had a career-high three field blocks to go with a goal and three assists at George Washington.
Salipante also had a great weekend, totaling four goals and 14 assists in those matches. He began with a then-career-high five assists to go with a goal in a win over #11/10 Princeton, and followed with two goals and three assists in a win at Navy. Salipante then dished out a new career-high six assists to go with a goal and two steals in a victory over George Washington.
Toth, Provenziani, Salipante, and the rest of the Rams will have a busy schedule in the upcoming week. Fordham is at Wagner on Friday, November 7
th, while hosting three games on Saturday, November 8
th against Bucknell, Mt. St. Mary's, and Mercyhurst at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center.
