Princeton, N.J. – (November 1, 2025) – It was a battle right from the start between the #5/5 Fordham Rams and the #11/10 Princeton Tigers in their Saturday showdown at Princeton's DeNunzio Pool. In the end, Fordham's
Andras Toth and
Luca Provenziani each scored five times to lead the Rams to an 18-14 water polo win over the Tigers.
With the win, Fordham improved to 16-3 on the year, while Princeton is now at 18-9.
THE GAME
- After each team netted five goals in the first quarter, Fordham had a big second quarter, netting six goals to just two for the Tigers and an 11-7 lead.Luca Provenziani netted a hat trick in the period, while Andras Toth completed his hat trick after scoring twice in the first quarter.
- The Rams continued to build the lead up to five, 15-10, by the end of the third quarter with Luca Silvestri netting two goals with Toth and Provenziani each getting their fourth goals of the game.
- Princeton would get within three, 17-14, with 2:37 left in the fourth quarter, but a goal by Soren Jessen late in the quarter was the insurance marker for the Rams' 18-14 win.
GAME NOTES
- Toth and Provenziani each scored five times in the game with Provenziani adding four assists with Toth having three assists and four steals.
- Silvestri and Barnabas Eppel also had hat tricks in the game with Jessen and Alessandro Salipante having the other tallies.Salipante added five assists to his ledger as well.
- Matthew Bonello DuPuis posted seven saves in the game to go with an assist and a steal.

- The Rams are in action twice on Sunday, November 2nd, with MAWPC conference games at Navy (11:00 AM) and George Washington (3:30 PM).
