Regional Rankings for September 22nd |
All-Time Regional Rankings Following a very strong showing at this past weekend's Meet of Champions hosted by Iona, the Fordham men's cross country team entered the U.S Track & Field/ Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional rankings on Monday for only the second time.
The Rams entered the Northeast Regional rankings at #10, moving ahead of Brown, New Hampshire, Canisius, Boston University, and Stony Brook, who each dropped a spot. The only other time Fordham has been regionally ranked was a two-week stint at the start of the 2012 season.
Syracuse remained atop the Northeast Region, followed by Iona, Providence, Columbia, Yale, Dartmouth, Harvard, Cornell, and Northeastern.
Fordham had an impressive finish at the Iona Meet of Champions, finishing second out of 23 teams, behind only nationally ranked Arkansas. The Rams ended up with five runners in the top 20, led by
Jonathan Annelli in seventh place.
The Fordham cross country teams will next be in action on Friday, September 26
th, when the Rams travel to Boston for the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown, hosted by Boston College.
