The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly cross country awards on Tuesday.  Among the honorees was Fordham freshman Brian Cook (Pearl River, N.Y.), who was named the league Rookie of the Week.  This is his first career honor.

Cook was also named the Corvias ECAC Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week.

Cook captured the individual title at the LIU Post Invitational in his first collegiate race with a time of 24:52.01, and helped Fordham win the team title as well. He was one of many strong performances from the Rams' first-year runners, as four Fordham freshmen finished in the top five of the event.

The Fordham cross country teams are back in action on Saturday, September 20th, when the squads compete at the Iona Meet of Champions, held at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
