Bronx, N.Y. (September 12, 2014) -  The Fordham University football Rams will host the University of Rhode Island Rams on Jack Coffey Field on Saturday, September 13, at 1:00 p.m. as part of Homecoming 2014 in a game that will be sponsored by Aer Lingus.

The game will be streamed live on the Patriot League Network. The game can also be heard live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and on WFUV.org with Mike Watts (p-b-p) and Nick Logerfo (color) handling the announcing chores and Kelly Kultys on the sidelines.

#19/23 Fordham enters the game after a loss at #10/7 Villanova last week. Rhode Island enters the game after a 48-7 loss at Marshall last Saturday.

A few notes on the game:

Joining captains Stephen Hodge, Dan Light and Ian Williams will be Fordham game captains Mason Halter (offense), Jordan Chapman (defense) and Michael Marando (special teams)

The scout players of the week were announced following practice: Zack Johnson (offense), Nick Angeli (defense) and Brett Lambert (special teams)

This will be the 13th meeting between Fordham and Rhode Island on the gridiron with Fordham leading the all-time series, which started in 1912, 7-5. Fordham won last year's matchup, 51-26, on Jack Coffey Field as Mike Nebrich completed 17 of 25 passes for 267 yards and four touchdowns while also running for another. Fordham has won four of the past six meetings

The Fordham University football Rams are a perfect 5-0 over the past two years coming off a loss under head coach Joe Moorhead (not counting the season-ending loss – but even so, the Rams won both season openers after dropping the last game of the previous year)

The Rams, along with the cheerleaders and Ram mascot, held a Maroon Zone pep rally on Thursday night where Coach Moorhead addressed the student crowd and free food and prizes were presented to the students. The student competed in a trivia and push up contest. Check out the photos from the rally
