Fordham's senior outfielder
Tim Swatek was one of 12 players selected to the 2014 Atlantic 10 All-Championship team, based on their performance at the 2014 Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship, held in St. Louis, Mo.
Swatek hit .545 in three games, collecting six hits in 11 at bats, which included three extra-base hits. He also added three RBI and a .643 on-base percentage.
In the Rams' opening game against Saint Joseph's, Swatek went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, while in the Rams' elimination game versus Dayton, he came through with a 3-for-4 performance with a triple, two doubles, and two RBI. In that contest, he also became the 13th Ram to reach 200 career hits. He finished the championship with a 1-for-3 outing against host Saint Louis.
Swatek finished the season with a .392 batting average, which led the Atlantic 10 and is the highest batting average for a Fordham player since Mike Marchiano hit .493 in 1997. He ended his career with 203 hits, good for 13th all-time, and finished in the top ten all-time at Rose Hill in games played (9th - 194), at bats (10th - 667), triples (T4th -12), and walks (8th - 115).
