Bronx, N.Y. (Bronx, N.Y.) – Fordham University freshman Destiny Grunin was named Atlantic10 women's tennis rookie of the week it was announced by the conference office today for games.
 
In the lone match on the week, Grunin helped the Rams to a 5-2 win over Fairfield University on Saturday. She defeated Tori Pirrello in straight sets, 6-1 and 6-0, as Fordham opened the spring season with a win.
 
The Rams will return to action on Saturday, February 8, as they travel to Newark, N.J., to face NJIT at 3:00 PM.
