Volleyball Signs Four for 2014

Head Coach Gini Ullery Welcomes Her First Full Recruiting Class to Rose Hill

Gearing up for her second year at the helm of the Fordham volleyball program, Head Coach Gini Ullery has announced the signing of four student athletes to National Letters of Intent for the 2014 campaign.

Nicole Freeley (Rochester, N.Y./West Irondequoit), Emily Fronk (Rochester, N.Y./Penfield), Grace Muller (Carmel, Ind./Carmel HS) and Molly Oshinski (Shawnee, Kan./Mill Valley) have all signed on to wear the maroon and white beginning in the fall of 2014.

Freeley, a 5-10 middle blocker, comes to Rose Hill following a standout career in Rochester, where she earned several awards during her four years under Head Coach Marc Callari at West Irondequoit.  As a junior, she earned team MVP honors in addition to being named First Team All-County and All Great Rochester Honorable Mention.  As a team captain her senior year, Freeley again earned a spot on the All-County First Team and also found herself named All Greater Rochester.

Joining Freeley at Rose Hill in 2014 will be fellow Rochester native and VolleyFX teammate Emily Fronk, a 5-10 setter who just wrapped up an accomplished career at Penfield High School.  Fronk garnered numerous honors during her three-year varsity career under Coach Andrew Solomon.  In fact, Fronk earned the exact same accolades her junior and senior year as Freeley, being named First Team All-County and All Greater Rochester Honorable mention as a junior before again earning First Team All-County and All Greater Rochester following her senior campaign.  Fronk also excelled in the classroom at Penfield, finding a spot on the High Honor Roll every marking period of her high school career and gaining acceptance to the National Honor Society.

The Rams' third signee comes to Rose Hill from the Hoosier State, where she shined for four years under Head Coach Rich Coleman at Carmel High School.  Muller, a 5-7 defensive specialist, will join the Rams after a stellar high school career in which she served as a team captain and broke her school's single season record for digs.  The Greyhounds were also twice 4A State Runners Up during her tenure.  An All-State Second Team Selection in 2012, Muller was named to the JVA All-National Team in 2013 and also found a spot on the Under Armour AVCA High School All-America Watch List prior to her senior season.   Muller was also named to the Noblesville Time All-County Team as a sophomore, junior and senior.  An outstanding student, Muller also earned Academic All-Conference and Academic All State Honorable Mention in addition to being a member of the National Honor Society.

Rounding out the 2014 recruiting class is Molly Oshinski, a 5-10 outside hitter from Shawnee, Kansas.  In four years of varsity volleyball at Mill Valley High School, Oshinski earned First Team All-League honors four times, KVL All-League accolades four times, was named to the Kansas All-Star Team and the World Journal All-Star Team.  Oshinski also excelled in the classroom at Mill Valley, finding a spot on the "A" Honor Roll for four years.
