The Fordham cross country will host the 2014 Metropolitan Championship on Friday afternoon at Van Cortlandt Park.  The women's 5K race will kick things off at 1:00 PM, followed by the men's 5-mile race at 1:45 PM. Please note the adjusted start times.
 
The teams vying for the MET crown will be Columbia, Fairleigh Dickinson, Fordham, Iona, LIU-Brooklyn, Manhattan, Marist, NYU, Rutgers, Seton Hall, St. John's, St. Francis (NY), Saint Peter's, and Wagner.
 
The Columbia women and the NYU men are the defending champions.  NYU has captured the last two Metropolitan men's team titles, while the Columbia women have won 11 consecutive team titles.
 
Fordham will look to improve on an excellent showing last year, where the men's team finished third, while the women's squad was fourth.
