Box ScorePoughkeepsie, N.Y. (October 8, 2014) – The Fordham men's tennis team traveled to Marist for its second match of the fall today and were upended by the Red Foxes, 5-0.
Fordham opened the match by dropping the doubles point.
J.J. Tauil and
Mischa Koran did win first doubles from Marist's Joe Motta and Fredrik Bjerke, 8-7 (10-5), but
Pol Giraldez and
Max Peara fell at second doubles to Rudolf Kurz and Justin Chanthalangsy, 8-3, and
Pedro Alonzo and
Joey Brander were bested at the third spot by Matteo Giudici and Dylan Fletcher, 8-1.
The Red Foxes then won all four completed singles matches in straight sets for the 5-0 win.
The Rams return to action on Sunday, October 12, as they host Adelphi University on the Hawthorn/Rooney Courts at 1:00 p.m.
