Football Travels to Lehigh on Saturday

#12 Rams look for first win ever in Bethlehem

Bronx, N.Y. (October 24, 2014) -  The Fordham University football Rams will continue their 2014 Patriot League season as they travel to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, to face the Lehigh University Mountain Hawks in Goodman Stadium on Saturday, October 25 at 12:30 p.m.
 
The game will be streamed live on the Patriot League Network powered by Campus Insiders with Ray Crawford (p-b-p), Doug Chapman (color) and Rich Cirminiello (sidelines) announcing. The game will also be heard live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and on WFUV.org with Mike Watts (p-b-p) and Nick Logerfo (color) handling the announcing chores and DJ Sixsmith on the sidelines.
 
#12 Fordham, 6-1 on the year and 2-0 in the Patriot League, enters the game after a 60-22 win over Penn on Jack Coffey Field on October 11. Lehigh, 1-5 overall this season and 0-1 in the conference, enters the contest after a 31-14 win at Cornell last week.
 
A few notes on the game:
 
Joining captains Stephen Hodge, Dan Light and Ian Williams will be Fordham game captains Matt Stolte (offense), De'Andre Slate (defense) and Marc DeSisto (special teams)
 
The scout team players of the week were announced following practice on Thursday: Nick Glogau (offense), Nick Angeli (defense) and Luke Arlotto (special teams)

This will be the 27th meeting between Fordham and Lehigh on the gridiron with the Mountain Hawks leading the all-time series, which started in 1923, 23-3
 
Fordham won last year's meeting, 52-34, on October 5 on Jack Coffey Field as Mike Nebrich completed 26 of 36 passes for 384 yards and four touchdowns with Brian Wetzel catching eleven of those passes for 133 yards and Sam Ajala hauling in six for 166 yards and three touchdowns
 
The Fordham win snapped a five-game Lehigh winning streak in the series
 
The Rams are 3-10 against Lehigh on Jack Coffey Field and 0-13 in Bethlehem.
 
Over his past three games, senior quarterback Mike Nebrich has gotten hot, completing 123 of 169 passes (72.8%) for 1,603 yards and 17 touchdowns with one interception, including a school-record 566 passing yards in the Penn win
 
Fordham freshman running back Chase Edmonds is second in the NCAA FCS in all-purpose yards/game, averaging 193.3 yards/game in seven games this year, while also ranking third in the FCS in rushing yards (1,011) and fourth in rushing yards/game (144.4)
