Austin Hancock was named the Corvias Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league today. Additionally, senior quarterback
Mike Nebrich and freshman running back
Chase Edmonds were both named to the weekly honor roll.

In a 60-22 win over Penn on Jack Coffey Field on Saturday, Hancock tied his career-high with a game-high 12 total tackles against the Quakers, eight solo. Included in the 12 stops were 2.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks. On one of his sacks, he forced a fumble which was recovered by teammate
DeAndre Slate who returned it for a touchdown.

On the year, Hancock has 41 totals tackles, 23 solo, second best on the team. He has 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks along with two quarterback hurries and a forced fumble.

Nebrich, who was named the College Sports Madness Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, completed 36 of 47 passes for a school-record 566 yards and six touchdowns. He broke his own school mark of 524 passing yards set last year against Holy Cross and tied school mark of six TD passes in a game (Kevin Eakin 2003). The 566 passing yards are the most for an NCAA FCS player this year.Â

Nebrich's  six passing touchdowns bring his career total to 57, second on the Fordham career list (John Skelton has the record with 69).

On the year, Nebrich has completed 170 of 261 passes for 2,304 yards and 21 touchdowns. He leads the NCAA FCS in total passing yards and leads the league and is second in the nation in touchdown passes. He also leads the league and is third in the NCAA FCS in passing yards/game (329.1) and is tops in the conference and third in the NCAA FCS in points responsible for (136). He leads all active FCS players in career total offense and passing yards per game.

Edmonds rushed 22 times for 101 yards and one touchdown (3 yards) in the Penn game and became the first freshman in school history to gain 1,000 yards in a season (1,011). He is also the fastest to accumulate 1,000 yards in a season, doing so in his seventh game (previous best was eight).

On the year, Edmonds has six 100-yard rushing games, carrying 150 times for 1,011 yards and eleven touchdowns. He leads the NCAA FCS in all-purpose yards/game (197.29) and leads the Patriot League and is sixth in the NCAA FCS in rushing yards/game (144.4).

The Rams have a week off and will return to action on Saturday, October 25, as they travel to Bethlehem, Penn., to face Lehigh University in a Patriot League game at 12:30 p.m.
