Ian Williams was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for his play in the Columbia game this weekend it was announced by the league office. Additionally, junior quarterback
Mike Nebrich was named the Beyond Sports Madness Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week and senior running back
Carlton Koonce and junior tight end
Dan Light were named honorable mention all-purpose and tight end performers, respectively, by College Football Performance Awards (CFPA).

In the 52-7 Liberty Cup win over Columbia on Jack Coffey Field on Saturday, Fordham's fourth straight Liberty Cup win over the Lions, Williams led the Rams with six solo tackles, including a pair of sacks. He also broke up two passes, forced a fumble, which led to a Fordham touchdown when the Rams recovered the ball in the end zone, and had a quarterback hurry.

On the year, Williams has 19 total tackles, 16 solo, including two sack. He also has three pass breakups.

Nebrich completed 32 of 38 passes for 347 yards, all career-highs, with three touchdowns in the game. He also ran 12 times for 85 yards.

Nebrich, who stands sixth in the NCAA FCS with 342.8 yards of total offense per game, has completed 98 of 134 passes for 1,124 yards and nine touchdowns this fall while also gaining 247 yards on 62 carries with three scores.

Koonce rushed 27 times for 158 yards, his second straight 100-yad game, and two touchdowns on Saturday, bringing his season total to 499 yards on 90 carries with four scores. The 158 rushing yards last week brings his career total at Fordham to 2,320, sixth on the school's all-time list.

Light hauled in five passes for 64 yards against Columbia and now has 15 receptions for 172 yards, both fourth best on the team, on the year.

The Rams, ranked 16
th in the current Sports Network NCAA FCS and NCAA FCS Coaches polls, is off to a 4-0 start for the first time since 1988. They return to action on Saturday, September 28, as they travel to Loretto, Pennsylvania, to face the Saint Francis University Red Flash on DeGol Field at 12:00 p.m.
