Hofstra put up more of a fight in the second set, battling late to narrow the score.  The Rams had led by as much as six midway through the set, but Hofstra later rattled off three in a row to narrow the Fordham lead to two at 22-20. The Rams were able to close out; however, taking the set by a 25-21 margin and securing the 2-0 lead in the match.Â

The Pride registered their best effort after the break, playing point for point with the Rams before jumping ahead 11-9. Fordham would never regain the set lead after that, and Hofstra took the set 25-19.
Â
The Rams found their touch once again in the fourth set, scoring nine of the set's first 12 points and forcing Hofstra back on their heels. The Pride was never able to close the gap, as Fordham won the set 25-19 and clinched the match.
