2013 Fordham Volleyball Schedule

BRONX, N.Y. - Under the tutelage of first year head coach Gini Ullery, the Fordham volleyball team has announced its schedule for the upcoming fall campaign.

The Rams will take on three schools from the power six conferences in their non-conference schedule before kicking off a 14 game A-10 slate at the end of September. Over the course of the season, the Rams will play two schools that made last year's NCAA Tournament.

Fordham, one of four teams participating at the Winthrop Classic in Rock Hill, S.C., begins in 2013 season on the road down South. Fordham will take on Savannah State on August 30th before playing both Winthrop and Tennessee Tech on August 31st.

From there, the Rams travel to Morgantown, W. Va., taking part in the West Virginia Golden Horseshoe Challenge on September 6th and 7th. In Morgantown, the Rams will face off against Navy, Canisius, West Virginia and Norfolk State.

On September 10th, the Rams return to the Bronx for their 2013 home opener, hosting the Pride of Hofstra University in a 7 PM tilt.

After that single match, there remain two more tournaments for Coach Ullery's squad. First, on September 13th and 14th, Fordham will take part in the Columbia Invitational, featuring matchups against Boston College, Binghamton, and the host Lions.

Then, after a single match at St. John's on September 17th, Fordham will head north to Central Connecticut for the CCSU Invitational. In New Britain, Fordham will take on 2012 Rose Hill Classic champs NJIT, Hartford and CCSU. The Invitational will take place on September 20th and 21st.

The Rams open up their Atlantic 10 schedule with two home matches on the weekend of September 28th, hosting Rhode Island on Friday at 7 PM before welcoming conference newcomer George Mason in a night tilt on Saturday.

Fordham has one final non-conference match following that opening A-10 weekend, hosting Stony Brook on Tuesday, October 1st, at 7 PM.

From there, it's 12 straight A-10 contests for the Rams to close out the regular season. They'll host Duquense on Saturday, October 5th, and Dayton on Friday the 11th before hitting the road for three straight matches.

On that road swing, the Rams will take on Saint Louis (Oct. 13th), reigning A-10 champ Dayton (Oct. 18th) and Duquesne (Oct. 19th).

After that, the Rams return to the friendly confines of the Rose Hill Gym for three consecutive home matches, facing off against VCU on October 25th, La Salle on October 27th and Saint Louis on November 2nd.

The Rams close out the regular season with four conference games on the road, traveling to our nation's capital for matches against George Washington and George Mason on the 7th and 8th of November, respectively, and then finishing the regular season with games at La Salle and Rhode Island on November 15th and 16th, respectively.

The 2013 Atlantic 10 Volleyball Championship will be held in Washington, D.C., at the Smith Center on the campus of George Washington University from November 22nd-24th.

Admission to all home volleyball games at the Rose Hill Gym is free of charge.
