Bronx, N.Y. - As the 2012-2013 season begins to wind down, the Fordham University Athletic Department held its 79th annual Block F Awards Dinner at the Villa Barone Manor on May 1 to honor Fordham University's student-athletes for their accomplishments during the academic year.

Among those honored was sophomore Srikar Alla (Hyderabad, India/Pendleton School) who was named the 2012-2013 Men's Tennis MVP.

Alla earned his first regional ranking from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) this season as he was ranked 20th in the Northeast region in January. He posted an 18-8 singles record, which included eleven wins at the #1 slot. Alla also added nine doubles wins on the year.
