Bronx, N.Y. - As the 2012-2013 season begins to wind down, the Fordham University Athletic Department held its 79th annual Block F Awards Dinner at the Villa Barone Manor on May 1 to honor Fordham University's student-athletes for their accomplishments during the academic year.

Among those honored was junior Shintaro Noguchi (Tiburon, Calif./Redwood) who was named the 2012-2013 Men's Swimming and Diving MVP.

Noguchi defended his Atlantic 10 title in the 100-yard butterfly in style breaking both the school and conference records at the conference championships in February. He also broke individual school marks in the 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard butterfly, while being a part of the record breaking 400-yard medley and 800-yard freestyle relay teams in 2012-2013.
