It may have been cold at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday, but the Fordham cross country teams were certainly on fire, as the Rams captured the men's IC4A University Division Championship, while taking sixth in the women's ECAC Championship.  Individually, junior Jonathan Annelli won the individual title, marking the second time in three years that a Fordham runner has won the race.

For the Fordham men, it is the third overall IC4A Championship title for the cross country team, and its first since 2006.  The Rams also won in 1989.

The day began with the women's coaches race, which was won by Alex Fiesel of Saint Joseph's, clocking in at 20:08.4 over the 5K course.  In the men's coaches race, a Saint joseph's runner also took first, as Michael Cassidy crossed the line in 27:12.2 over the five-mile course.

Next up was the men's IC4A Championship race, which was won by Georgetown with 43 points, followed by Saint Joseph's (69) and Princeton (109).  Individually, the Hoyas' John Murray was the gold medalist, winning the race in 24:56.6.

In the women's ECAC Championship event, Georgetown was again the winner with 29 points, placing five runners in the top ten.  James Madison was second with 78 points, followed by Saint Joseph's (96).  The gold medalist for the women's race was George Mason's Bethany Sachtleben, who posted a winning time of 17:24.7.

The final men's event was the IC4A University Division Championship, where Fordham placed five runners in the top 30 to capture their third IC4A title with 77 points over 19 other schools.  Monmouth earned second place with 131 points, followed by Pittsburgh (157), New Hampshire (161), and Marist (173).

Individually, Fordham's Jonathan Annelli won the five-mile race with a time of 25:33.9, becoming the second Ram in the last three years to garner gold medalist honors.  Julian Saad won the race in 2011.
