Fordham freshman swimmer
Megan Polaha (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) captured Atlantic 10 weekly honors for the second time this season, it was announced on Tuesday. After earning Rookie of the Week honors in late October, this time Polaha won the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week award for women's swimming & diving.
Polaha had an outstanding run at this past weekend's Princeton Invitational. She won two events and had two third place finishes individually, all in season-best times.
Polaha captured the 400-yard individual medley event in 4:28.45, as well as the 200-yard butterfly in 2:03.28. She also grabbed third in the 200-yard individual medley (2:06.84) and the 100-yard butterfly (56.40). She was a part of three relay teams as well, where Fordham took second in the 400 freestyle relay, third in the 400 medley relay, and fifth in the 200 freestyle relay.
Polaha and the rest of Fordham swimming & diving teams will next be in action on November 22-24 at the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa.
